There are three types of rooms: big – spacious rooms, small rooms and then there are tiny rooms. And the design and décor for each category of room varies and it depends on available space. First and foremost having movable wall shelves is a smart solution to combat the issue of foot space. If not floor you can undoubtedly utilize the walls to store your belongings. You can go for big open shelves or small shelves depending on nature of requirements and frequency of use. Tiny shelves can accommodate at least the basic necessities like lip balm, phone, charger, and perfume to name a few.

How about hanging a coat rack at the door or on any of the walls!! This is an usual solution to accommodate belongings when you are dealing with space issues. You must be wondering how you are going to hang your lip balm or books for that matter. You can get little smart and have a shelf attached to the coat rack. This way you will be able to hang clothes and accommodate belongings as well without hampering the foot space.

Another option is having a Tray Table. It doesn’t occupy too much space and can allow you to store a bit more and at the same time make it easily accessible. These tables look trendy and stylish. You could go for a black tray (all time favorite color) or go for a color that suits the overall design and décor of the room.

If you have a window in your room, this is the best time to utilize the space available at the window; you can make an open shelf at the bottom of the window and accommodate the items of daily use and again without tampering the available foot space.

Writing desk surely occupies little space; however, an ideal sized desk can double up the space of writing or working on laptop and at the same using it as space to accommodate essentials like alarm clock, phone or a bottle of water or a pair of glasses or even a table lamp. You can place it facing the window or in sync with your bed.
